Aira Launches First Heat Pump Hub in Scotland
Scotland: Clean energy technology specialist Aira has officially launched a new hub in Stirling, creating 30 highly skilled jobs in the local area. The 14,494 sq. ft. facility at Springkerse Industrial Estate will serve as the central hub for Aira's operations in Scotland. In 2025, the company plans to establish the Aira Academy at this location, dedicated to providing high-quality training for the sales team, designers, installers, electricians, and others involved in heat pump installations. Stirling was chosen for its strategic location, providing excellent access to major highways and connections to Aberdeen, Angus, and the Scottish Borders, enabling efficient service across mainland Scotland.
Aira, founded in Sweden, has collaborated with Scottish Enterprise to establish its first hub and training center, which will include a showroom for customers to experience heat pumps firsthand. Aira indicates that 32% of Scots—nearly 1.5 million people—are considering heat pump installations for sustainable heating solutions. Heat pumps, already the leading home energy solution in Scandinavian countries, offer reliable clean energy while reducing CO2 emissions and heating costs. Aira's heat pumps come with zero upfront costs and a 15-year Comfort Guarantee. The company has also introduced new energy tariffs that can save customers an average of £500 (USD 669) annually, with potential savings of up to £1,245 (USD 1665) when combined with solar panels. The Scottish Government aims to install 200,000 heat pumps annually by 2030 and has launched initiatives to support households in transitioning from gas or oil boilers.
