AFPAC launched the Centre of Expertise for Heat Pumps

FRANCE: AFPAC has launched CEPAC, a dedicated Centre of Expertise for Heat Pumps, as part of France’s national strategy to accelerate heat pump adoption. The initiative brings together key stakeholders across the building decarbonisation ecosystem and is designed to act as an independent technical body supporting large-scale, reliable deployment.

CEPAC will focus on delivering practical guidance, validated data, and best practices based on real-world experience, addressing the operational needs of specifiers, installers, and system operators. The centre will cover both aerothermal and geothermal heat pump applications, ensuring solutions are tailored to different building configurations.

Supported by organisations including CETIAT, EDF, and Uniclima, along with ADEME, the initiative aims to enhance quality standards and strengthen confidence in heat pump technologies across the French market.
