Villeroy & Boch and Ideal Standard Present Design Continuum at Milan Design Week

Italy: Villeroy & Boch and Ideal Standard have collaborated to present “Design Continuum” at Milan Design Week 2026. Developed in partnership with Studio Elastique, the installation is intended as a platform to explore how design influences perception and sensory experience. The concept focuses on rethinking the bathroom as a space shaped by materials, technology, and user interaction rather than as a fixed functional area.
The installation is structured across five interconnected environments, each examining different aspects of design, including materials, form, interaction, and craftsmanship. The exhibition incorporates elements such as light, projection, texture, and scent to shape the experience of each space. It also features new developments from the companies’ innovation centres, including a 3D-printed ceramic concept made from recycled material and surface treatments such as reactive glazing and textured finishes.
