UAE's RAK Ceramics to Increase Capacity in India, Bangladesh
Ras Al Khaimah Ceramics, based in the UAE, expects to invest $80 million this year in plant expansions in India and Bangladesh, as well as technology updates at other sites, according to the company's CEO.
"This year we have an expansion coming," Abdallah Massaad said, adding that new Indian production will begin in June.
Last year, the company, which manufactures ceramic wall tiles, sanitary ware, and floor tiles and is owned in part by the royal family of Ras Al Khaimah, generated 3.5 billion dirhams in revenue.
