TOTO Reports Mixed Regional Performance with Growth in Asia and Europe

Japan: TOTO Corporation reported varied performance across its global operations for the third quarter of FY2025. The company plans to accelerate the expansion of new products with strong demand. Its International Housing Equipment Business also saw a mixed performance, while the Americas recorded a significant increase in WASHLET sales across all channels, profits were affected by exchange rates and growth-related investments. In contrast, Asia reported higher sales and profits, led by strong results in Taiwan and Vietnam, while Europe achieved increased sales and reduced losses, supported by WASHLET growth. Sales in mainland China declined, and a loss was recorded, though restructuring activities are progressing as planned.


In the Asia region, TOTO recorded total sales of JPY 24.4 billion (USD 157 million / EUR 145 million). Taiwan accounted for 55% of this figure, driven by higher integrated toilet sales, while Vietnam and India saw growth due to improving market conditions and targeted measures. Thailand’s sales decreased amid challenging market conditions. In Europe, TOTO’s net sales grew 7% year-on-year for the third quarter, with WASHLET sales up 15%. The company continues to strengthen its market position by promoting space-efficient toilet and WASHLET combinations through collaborations with distributors and local plumbers. Meanwhile, its Advanced Ceramics Business reported increased sales and profits, benefiting from rising demand in the semiconductor manufacturing sector
