Japan: TOTO reported net sales of JPY 168.6 billion (approximately USD 1.06 billion) for the first quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2027, up 2.9% year-on-year, while operating profit declined by 0.1% to JPY 8.1 billion (approximately USD 50.8 million). The company attributed the lower profit to reduced bathroom product sales related to the situation in the Middle East and higher external procurement costs. While the Japan Housing Equipment business recorded lower sales and profit, the International Housing Equipment and Advanced Ceramics businesses reported higher sales. TOTO also announced price revisions for its Japan Housing Equipment business effective from 1 December 2026 and maintained its full-year forecast of JPY 785.0 billion (approximately USD 4.92 billion) in net sales and JPY 60.0 billion (approximately USD 375.9 million) in operating profit.
