US: Toto has opened a new US$224 million manufacturing facility in Morrow, Georgia, expanding its North American production network. The three-story, 33,800 sqm plant was completed in November 2024 and is scheduled to begin production in fall 2025. The facility will add 300,000 units annually, raising Toto’s total production capacity in the Americas to about one million units per year across sites in Georgia and Mexico.
The plant incorporates robotics, automation, and advanced casting equipment to improve efficiency and quality. Features include a tank bonding robot for one-piece toilet assembly, a fleet of 34 robots, and automated guided vehicles supporting production flow. Sustainability measures include energy-efficient systems and plans for new kilns in 2027 expected to cut CO₂ emissions by 23%. The new facility strengthens its supply chain in North America and supports its goal of reducing reliance on overseas production.
