The First Cold-Climate VRF From JCI-Hitachi
USA: In North America, Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning has introduced the first VRF heat pump designed for chilly climates. A top-flow VRF heating and cooling system, the air365 Max with HeatForce can function at 100% heating capacity in -13ºF (-25ºC) external temperatures and at 90% heating capacity in -22ºF (-30ºC).
SmoothDrive 2.0, which greatly improves energy efficiency at partial load by enabling the system to precisely control compressor rotation speed with 0.1Hz every step, is what makes this energy-efficient performance feasible. Direct capacity control, even at low loads, reduces operating costs and can boost efficiency by up to 39% in part-load scenarios.
With airCloud Tap, an app made to make it easier for HVAC professionals to install, read, and modify Hitachi equipment settings as well as access comprehensive diagnostics data on mobile devices, installing air365 Max VRF systems is made simpler for contractors. The air365 Max with HeatForce, which has an EER of up to 12 and a COP of up to 4.2, is available with heat pump and heat recovery modes up to 24 tons.
