TECE Appoints Ashley Shires as UK Managing Director
UK: German sanitary solutions manufacturer TECE has announced the appointment of Ashley Shires as its new UK managing director, effective 21 September 2026. Shires has more than 40 years of experience in the bathroom industry, including 14 years as managing director of SIAMP. His career has included work with UK and international bathroom manufacturers, with experience in commercial strategy and business development.
Commenting on his appointment, Ashley Shires said: “I am thrilled to be starting a new and exciting chapter with TECE, a leading specialist in the sanitary solutions and flushing technology sector. I look forward to drawing on my extensive experience to further strengthen and develop the TECE brand and its innovative product portfolio. I am excited to work closely with our longstanding customer network, while forging new partnerships across the market.” He added: “It’s a great privilege to join an experienced and passionate team, building upon the strong foundations and together driving the continued long-term business growth.” Russell Barnes, who has been serving as interim managing director of TECE, will move into the role of head of sales and marketing, where he will support the management and sales teams with his industry knowledge.
