Tata Power, Keppel and Tata Realty Partner for Large-Scale Cooling-as-a-Service Project in Chennai

India: Tata Power Trading Company Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Power, has partnered with Keppel Limited and Tata Realty and Infrastructure Limited to deploy a large-scale cooling-as-a-service (CaaS) solution at Intellion Park in Chennai’s Taramani IT corridor. Spread across more than 25 acres, the project will feature a total installed cooling capacity of 12,100 tonnes of refrigeration (TR) and is scheduled to become operational by October 2026 under a 15-year contract. The deployment is expected to reduce overall energy consumption by over 20% through high-efficiency systems and optimized lifecycle operations, supported by Keppel’s AI- and ML-driven Operations Nerve Centre for real-time monitoring, predictive analytics, and dynamic performance optimization. The collaboration highlights the growing adoption of scalable and energy-efficient HVAC solutions across India’s commercial real estate sector.
