UL Solutions Expands HVACR Testing Facility in Texas
USA: UL Solutions inaugurated its expanded HVACR Center of Excellence in Plano, Texas, on October 12, 2026, increasing testing capabilities for energy-efficient heating and cooling equipment, low-impact refrigerants and data center cooling technologies. The facility supports testing of heat pumps, air conditioners, chillers, VRF systems and coolant distribution units. New chambers simulate diverse temperature and humidity conditions and accommodate equipment with cooling capacities of up to 30 refrigeration tons. The centre offers safety, performance, energy-consumption and certification testing against relevant industry standards, helping manufacturers develop compliant products and accelerate the adoption of advanced HVACR technologies worldwide.
