Scottish Government Grants £11 Million for Public Sector Decarbonization

Scotland: The allocation of £11 million in grants by the Scottish government is intended to support seven initiatives that seek to improve energy efficiency and provide clean heating in the public sector. North Lanarkshire Council, Fife Council, and the University of Edinburgh are among the first seven organisations to receive these grants, which are funded by the Public Sector Heat Decarbonisation Fund with an allocation of £20 million.

This is the first time that public sector organizations have received direct grant awards as opposed to loan awards for low-carbon energy improvements.
