Saint-Gobain Expands Asia-Pacific Presence Through Two Acquisitions

Vietnam and Japan: Saint-Gobain has announced two acquisitions in the Asia-Pacific region as part of its strategy to expand its presence in construction materials. In Vietnam, the company has completed the acquisition of Phu My Innovative Materials (PMIM), a plasterboard manufacturer that generated approximately EUR 20 million (USD 23.5 million) in revenue during 2025. The acquisition strengthens Saint-Gobain's existing operations in Vietnam, where the Group operates 12 manufacturing facilities and reported revenue exceeding EUR 200 million (USD 235 million) in 2025.

In Japan, Saint-Gobain has signed an agreement to acquire AGC's majority stake in AGC Polymer Materials, a manufacturer of polyurethane waterproofing and flooring solutions with annual sales of approximately EUR 50 million (USD 58.8 million). The transaction is expected to close during the first quarter of 2027, subject to customary approvals. The acquisitions form part of Saint-Gobain's "Lead & Grow" strategy, which focuses on expanding its presence in selected markets across the Asia-Pacific region.
