Rising Temperatures in India Fuel Surge in AC Demand, Manufacturers Increase Prices

India: Soaring temperatures across India, especially in North and Central regions, fuelled a surge in AC demand in the month of April 2024. Regionally, South India witnessed the highest growth in sales volume (15-50%), followed by Central (15-20%) and North India (20-25%). Due to this increased demand, local dealers have reported shortages of ACs across brands leading to longer delivery times. This has also resulted in some manufacturers increasing their prices with Bluestar raising prices by 3-5% across various models.
