RHOSS Highlights Heat Pump Focus Amid Growing Decarbonisation Efforts

Italy: RHOSS has outlined the growing role of heat pumps in supporting building decarbonisation as European regulations continue to encourage the adoption of low-emission heating technologies. The company stated that heat pumps are becoming an increasingly important component of the European Union’s climate objectives, supported by policy initiatives such as the “Fit for 55” framework. Alongside heating and cooling systems, RHOSS also provides air handling units and fan coils aimed at addressing indoor air quality requirements through ventilation, filtration and climate control within buildings.
Founded in 1968 and headquartered in Codroipo, Italy, RHOSS has been part of the Swedish-based NIBE Group since 2019. The company has transitioned from gas boiler manufacturing to HVAC and air treatment systems, with heat pumps accounting for more than 70 per cent of its production. RHOSS operates production facilities covering 50,000 square metres and an R&D laboratory of 1,000 square metres, employing more than 450 people. In 2025, the company reported turnover of more than EUR 104 million (USD 112 million/EUR 104 million). Its product portfolio includes heat pumps, chillers, multipurpose systems, fan coils and air handling units for residential, commercial and industrial applications, alongside technical support and training programmes for HVAC professionals.
