India: Bengaluru residential market remained India's strongest in Q1 2026, with housing sales surpassing 18,000 units and new launches reaching a record 27,000 units, according to JLL. Demand continued to be driven by the city's resilient technology sector, expanding metro network, and growing preference for larger premium homes. Properties priced above INR 1.5 crore (USD 174,000 or EUR 149,000) accounted for nearly 70% of new launches, while Whitefield emerged as the leading supply hub. Although sales increased quarter-on-quarter, new supply outpaced demand, indicating moderating buyer sentiment. JLL expects the market to remain resilient through 2026, supported by strong economic fundamentals and sustained demand across key technology corridors.
