FRANCE: Qlima has recalled several heat pump models sold across France between May 2021 and July 2026 after identifying a potential fire and explosion hazard linked to propane (R290) refrigerant leaks. The affected models include WDH 224 PTC, WDH 229 PTC, WDH 229, WDH 235 PTC, WDH 429 PTC, and WDH 435 PTC. If installed below 1.8 meters, a propane leak could create a flammable atmosphere, according to French consumer safety authorities. The units were sold through major retailers, including Leroy Merlin, Castorama, and Bricorama. Owners are advised to stop using the devices immediately and contact Qlima for inspection, repair, or case-by-case reimbursement if necessary.
