Premier Launches New Air Conditioner Manufacturing Plant in Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan: A new household appliance manufacturing plant under the Premier brand, specializing in air conditioner, has been launched in the Ahangaran district of the Tashkent region, with the official opening held at the Eltech Industrial Technopark. The project has been developed in partnership with UAE-based Fajr Al Mustaqbal General Trading Company, with total investment of USD 30 million. The facility spans 10 hectares, will generate 250 jobs, and is expected to reach annual exports of about USD 4 million while substituting imports worth approximately USD 87 million. Production will cater to both domestic and export markets, with planned shipments to Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, and Afghanistan. Earlier this year, the President of Uzbekistan reviewed the project and issued directives to strengthen the electrical engineering sector and boost localization and exports. Source: uzdaily
