PCT expands PCBA manufacturing for HVAC applications

India: Pacific Cyber Manufacture Technology Co., Ltd. (PCT) has expanded its printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) manufacturing capabilities at its facility in Daman, India, with a focus on components used in residential air conditioners and other white goods. The company stated that it plans to manufacture up to 3.0 million PCBA units in 2026, supported by an installed annual capacity of up to 5.0 million units. The expansion reflects a shift towards localised production of electronic control systems used in HVAC equipment, including assemblies for control and functional operations in air conditioning systems.

The development aligns with broader industry trends towards localisation of supply chains in India. PCT indicated that the expanded capability enables manufacturers to source electronic components closer to production locations, which may reduce supply chain length and support manufacturing operations. The Daman facility, spanning approximately 40,000 square metres and employing over 3,000 personnel, supports processes including surface-mount technology, testing and system integration. The company stated that it will continue to develop engineering, automation and component manufacturing capabilities for HVAC-related applications as part of its ongoing operations in India.
