Panasonic and UHI Inverness Launch Renewable Energy Training Hub
UK: Panasonic, in collaboration with UHI Inverness, has launched the Renewable Energy Training Hub, a facility designed to address Scotland’s growing demand for skilled workers in renewable energy. The hub is equipped with advanced technologies, including Panasonic’s Aquarea L Series air source heat pumps, and aims to provide practical training for heating and plumbing installers. By focusing on green energy solutions, the initiative seeks to support Scotland’s net-zero goals while addressing industry-wide skills shortages. Local businesses, Panasonic, and funding from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund contributed to the hub’s development.
The hub offers hands-on training to upskill practitioners and prepare apprentices for emerging technologies essential for decarbonising heating systems in homes. This initiative highlights the collaborative efforts of industry leaders, educational institutions, and government resources in fostering sustainable practices. The Renewable Energy Training Hub is a step forward in Scotland’s transition to greener energy, supporting the workforce with modern solutions and advancing industry standards.
