SWEDEN: NIBE delivered a resilient start to 2026, with Q1 sales remaining broadly stable at approximately US$ 1.01 billion, while profitability improved significantly. Operating profit increased to around US$ 91 million, up from US$ 82 million a year earlier, lifting the operating margin to 9.0% from 8.1%. Net profit rose to approximately US$ 53 million, supported by organic sales growth, effective cost management, productivity gains, and robust demand in key markets, particularly for heat pumps and commercial-property solutions.
The Climate Solutions and Element divisions recorded solid growth, benefiting from increasing demand for energy-efficient and electrification-related technologies. However, the Stoves segment continued to face challenges from subdued consumer demand in Europe and higher US tariffs on Canadian-manufactured products. Despite ongoing geopolitical and economic uncertainties, NIBE remains optimistic about its 2026 outlook, supported by continued investments, strategic acquisitions, operational improvements, and growing long-term demand for sustainable energy solutions.
