MBT Climate Opens Innovation Centre Focused on HVAC and Environmental Technologies

Italy: MBT Climate has inaugurated a new innovation centre in Padua, Italy, dedicated to research, development, and training in HVAC and indoor air quality technologies. The facility, established with an investment of approximately EUR 12 million (around USD 12.9 million), is backed by the MBT Climate Group, which includes Clivet and Sabiana. The centre will work in partnership with European universities and is designed to support advancements in energy efficiency, natural refrigerants, emissions reduction, and energy management systems. It includes specialised laboratories capable of testing performance in extreme conditions, from -30°C to +60°C.
The centre also houses a training facility for heat pump and digital system applications and will be open to collaboration with academic and research institutions through shared laboratories and coworking spaces. Located in the Padova Est area, the site offers strong accessibility and aims to strengthen cooperation between academia and industry. The initiative is part of MBT Climate's broader strategy to enhance its role in the energy transition and the development of sustainable climate solutions.
