JAPAN: LIXIL Corporation announced its full-year financial results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025, reporting a 1.4% year-on-year increase in consolidated revenue, reaching ¥1,504.7 billion (US$ 10.4 billion). In Japan, strong demand for water product renovations and successful price optimization contributed to higher sales. While LIXIL Housing Technology (LHT) experienced a rise in window renovation orders, a decline in new housing starts partially offset these gains. Overall, revenue from the Japan business edged up to ¥995.3 billion (US$ 6.9 billion).
International revenue rose by 3% year-on-year to ¥519.4 billion (US$ 3.6 billion), though this represented a 1% decline on a local currency basis. Growth was supported by a rebound in shower product sales in Europe and increased demand in the Middle East, while markets in the U.S. and China continued to show weakness.
Over the next three years, LIXIL plans to accelerate cost structure transformation in the U.S. by shifting to higher-margin products, expand the GROHE brand in growth markets with continuous product innovation, and enhance operational efficiency in Japan through digital technologies like AI. A key long-term priority remains the development of globally differentiated products.
