LG Expands Residential Heat Pump Portfolio in Europe

Europe: LG Electronics has expanded its portfolio of residential heat pump solutions in Europe to address growing demand for heating systems using low Global Warming Potential (GWP) refrigerants. The expanded range includes the Therma V R290 Monobloc air-to-water heat pump, Multi V i and Multi V S Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems, along with new indoor units designed for European residential applications. The products are intended to support building electrification, energy efficiency and compliance with regional environmental requirements.

The Therma V R290 Monobloc uses R290 refrigerant and is designed to operate in outdoor temperatures as low as -28°C while supplying domestic hot water up to 75°C. LG stated that its VRF portfolio incorporates low-GWP refrigerants, inverter compressor technology, smart controls and safety functions to improve system performance and installation flexibility. The company has also introduced new Combi Unit, Hydro Unit and Control Unit indoor systems, which received the 2026 iF Design Award and the 2026 Red Dot Design Award.

James Lee, president of LG ES Company, said, “As Europe’s residential heat pump market continues to evolve, demand is growing for solutions that are energy efficient, environmentally responsible and easy to install. We will continue to strengthen our competitiveness through a diverse heat pump portfolio and engineering capabilities tailored to real site needs.”
