Spain/Serbia: LG Electronics is expanding its presence in Europe’s heat pump market by securing large-scale orders, including the installation of its high-efficiency LG Multi V i heat pumps for a residential complex of more than 1,000 households near Madrid, Spain, and supplying customized solutions based on Multi V i and LG MULTI V S for more than 500 households at the King’s Circle and The One residential complexes in Belgrade, Serbia. The LG Multi V i features a high-efficiency inverter compressor, AI-based smart control system and uses R32 refrigerant, which has around 30% of the global warming potential of conventional R-410A refrigerant, helping meet Europe’s stringent environmental standards. LG also differentiated its compact and lightweight 1-port shut-off valve unit to improve installation convenience in Europe’s relatively small residential spaces, while simplifying system design in Serbia to enable heating, cooling and hot water supply from a single outdoor unit without a separate heat recovery unit, reducing construction costs and improving installation efficiency. The expansion comes as Europe’s heat pump market continues to grow, supported by the European Union’s REPowerEU Plan promoting the transition to eco-friendly energy.
