Kensa and GTC Join Hands to Provide Renewable Heating for New Homes in Britain
UK: The UK's largest installer and operator of multi-utility networks, GTC, and the leading manufacturer and installer of ground source heat pumps, The Kensa Group, have partnered to deliver a renewable heating and cooling solution for tens of thousands of new build homes annually.
This Networked Ground Source Heat Pump solution will replace gas heating, which will be banned in new builds from next year under the Future Homes Standard.
GTC will provide the funded solution to developers, including design, borehole drilling, and installation. Kensa will contribute its expertise and UK-manufactured heat pumps. This partnership aims to help housebuilders transition to sustainable, low-carbon heating solutions.
The new ground source heat pump solution will help developers and housebuilders comply with Future Homes Standards by transitioning to clean and cost-effective heating and cooling without needing additional electricity grid capacity. This comprehensive end-to-end system provides heating, hot water, and cooling solutions, offering up to five times the efficiency of gas while occupying minimal space inside the house and eliminating the need for an external unit.
