Kazakhstan Expects to Commission Over 110 million sq. m. of Housing Constructions by 2030




Kazakhstan: Kanat Sharlapaev, Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, has indicated what the future holds for the country's construction industry, according to a Kazinform News Agency journalist. Minister Sharlapaev announced at Tuesday's regular Government meeting that a whopping 12 trillion tenge had been invested in house building over the last five years. During this time, 78.5 million square metres of new homes were constructed. Kazakhstan, according to the minister, intends to build around 111 million square metres of housing by 2030 to meet the needs of more than one million Kazakhstani households. According to the Kazakh government's action plan, the volume of commissioned dwellings will expand from 15.5 to 18 million square meters in 2024.
