Kazakhstan and Roca Group Advance Plans for Sanitary Ware Plant

Kazakhstan: Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov held discussions with Santiago de Gomar Roca, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Roca Group, regarding the implementation of a sanitary ware manufacturing facility in the Kyzylorda region. The proposed plant will be located in the "Ondiris" industrial zone and is expected to produce up to 500,000 units annually, including installation systems and related components. The facility will supply both domestic and Central Asian markets. The project involves an investment of EUR 70 million (USD 75 million) and is projected to generate approximately 300 new jobs.
During the meeting, Roca Group indicated that Kazakhstan is viewed as a strategic location for regional business expansion. Prime Minister Bektenov stated that the government is prioritising industrial localisation to support economic development and is committed to fostering a favourable investment environment. Following the discussions, a Framework Agreement outlining the key principles of the project was signed by the Ministry of Industry and Construction of Kazakhstan, the Akimat of the Kyzylorda region, and Roca Group.
