DENMARK: Johnson Controls International plc has expanded its Holme, Aarhus facility in Denmark, adding 2,300 m² of production space and an 1,800 m² testing and customer centre to double heat pump manufacturing and validation capacity. The site, powered by 100% green energy, focuses on large-scale industrial heat pumps and chillers for district heating, healthcare, research and industrial applications. The expansion supports over 100 new jobs and strengthens Europe’s decarbonisation agenda by enabling electrification of heating, which accounts for over 60% of industrial energy use. The facility also supports EU regulatory alignment, low-GWP refrigerants and advanced testing under extreme conditions for high-efficiency systems.
