Johnson Controls Expands Holme Heat Pump and Chiller Facility in Aarhus, Denmark
Denmark/Europe: Johnson Controls (NYSE: JCI), a global leader in sustainable building technologies, announced a major expansion of its Holme heat pump and chiller facility in Aarhus, Denmark. The expansion, scheduled for completion by early 2026, will add 2300 square meters of production capacity and 1800 square meters for a new customer and test center. This investment is expected to create over 100 new jobs and enhance the company’s ability to produce larger, high-capacity heat pumps for global markets.
Benthe Klokkerholm, VP of Manufacturing Operations HVAC/R, EMEA, stated, "This important milestone reinforces our commitment to a sustainable future while boosting local economic growth." The Holme facility, producing Sabroe-branded heat pumps, utilizes ultra-low Global Warming Potential refrigerants, aligning with new EU regulations. The plant has a history dating back to 1897 and was acquired by Johnson Controls in 2005. Johnson Controls will showcase its HVAC solutions at the Chillventa show in Nürnberg, Germany, from Oct. 8-10.
