Indonesia Implements Measures to Restrict Imports of Electrical Goods
Updated: May 31
Indonesia: The Ministry of Industry in Indonesia has introduced a regulation that limits the import of electronic products such as air conditioners and refrigerators. This measure is intended to enhance investment confidence within the country.
This regulation comes in the wake of a previous directive issued late last year, which aimed to strengthen monitoring over various imported products, ranging from food ingredients and electronics to chemicals.
The recent regulation was prompted by concerns raised by business associations regarding the effects of an abundance of imported goods on local markets.
