India Aims to Reduce Reliance on China for Solar Panels
India: India's Adani Group is set to increase its solar panel production by 150% by 2026, aiming to reduce the country's dependence on China and support its goal of achieving carbon neutrality, as reported by Bloomberg. The conglomerate plans to expand its production capacity to generate 10 gigawatts of solar energy annually, up from the current four gigawatts. Part of this strategy includes constructing one of the largest renewable energy parks, which will be five times the size of Paris. Over the next decade, Adani Group will invest 100 billion USD in renewable energy sources. Solar energy has already emerged as the fastest-growing green industry.
