Ideal Standard Vidima Celebrates 90th Anniversary in Bulgaria
Bulgaria: Ideal Standard Vidima, a prominent industrial firm in Bulgaria, celebrated its 90th anniversary on Saturday with an event in Sevlievo, attended by the country's President Rumen Radev and First Lady Dessislava Radeva as special guests, according to the President's press office.
Founded originally as a metalworking cooperative in 1934, the company evolved into a sanitary fittings plant following Bulgaria's communist takeover in 1944. In 1992, it joined a joint venture primarily owned by the US company American Standard. Subsequently, during American Standard's comprehensive restructuring in 2007, its European division was reformed into Ideal Standard International, headquartered in Belgium, and later passed through ownership by several US investment firms.
