Haier Opens Major Air Conditioner Plant in Thailand, Boosting Production

Thailand: Haier announced the opening of its new air conditioner manufacturing plant in Chonburi, Thailand. Covering 324,000 square meters, the facility aligns with Thailand's S-Curve strategy and Thailand 4.0 policy, serving both domestic and export markets with a maximum annual capacity of over 6 million units. Zhou Yunjie, Chairman of Haier Group, emphasized that the investment demonstrates Haier’s confidence in the Thai economy and reinforces the vision of positioning Thailand as a strategic production hub in Southeast Asia.
The plant is expected to generate over 3,000 jobs, supporting local communities and promoting sustainable economic growth. It will also strengthen Haier’s production and export capabilities to meet rising demand across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and global markets. Former Thai Prime Minister Chuan Leekphai highlighted that the plant reflects strong cooperation between Thailand and China, and showcases investor confidence in Thailand’s potential, stability, and strategic global role.
