GlassPoint Collaborates with MISA to Construct Solar Manufacturing Plant in Saudi Arabia

When operating at maximum capacity, the plant should generate enough renewable energy each year to produce five thousand tonnes of solar steam per day. With this production, 200,000 tonnes of carbon emissions will be greatly reduced annually and a hefty four million MMBtus of petrol will be offset. The technology produced here will be used in a variety of industries, such as building materials, metals and mining, and others, representing a significant step towards the decarbonization of these sectors. As part of this strategic alliance, GlassPoint will contribute its operational expertise and proven technology, and MISA will offer support and advisory services. The partnership is in line with Saudi Arabia's objectives of sustainability and economic growth. In addition to promoting renewable energy initiatives domestically, the solar manufacturing plant establishes Saudi Arabia as a regional centre for climate technology leadership.
