Four UK Tile Companies Enter Administration Amid Sector Pressures
UK Tile Companies Enter Administration

UNITED KINGDOM: Ceramique Internationale, along with Rowmarl Ltd, Spectrum Tiles and Euxton Tile Supplies, has entered administration, resulting in 59 redundancies. The companies, owned by Full Circle Group and Earle Group, appointed administrators on 27 October following severe financial difficulties, with operations having ceased on 24 October. Joint administrators Matthew Haw and Christopher Ratten of RSM UK Restructuring Advisory completed the sale of assets to newly formed entities Euxton Tiles Ltd and Ralee Group Ltd on 31 October. Founded in 1974, Ceramique Internationale was recognised for sourcing Italian and Spanish tiles, while Euxton Tile Supplies, established in 1950, was the oldest of the group. Administrators confirmed the businesses were no longer able to meet ongoing financial obligations despite directors’ efforts.

This development comes shortly after UK tile brand Fired Earth also entered administration and closing all stores and making 133 staff redundant. The back-to-back insolvencies signal escalating pressures within the UK tile and wider Kitchens, Bedrooms and Bathrooms (KBB) sectors, underscoring the financial strain facing long-established brands amid shifting market conditions and rising operational challenges.
