Electrolux Group to Expand Operations and Exports in Egypt
Egypt: Electrolux Group has decided to retain its business operations in Egypt after a final evaluation of various alternatives. The company had previously announced on July 20, 2023, its intention to explore the divestment of certain assets, including the sales and production of major home appliances and water heaters. However, recognizing the strong market value of its brands in Egypt, particularly Zanussi, the Group has opted to keep these operations as part of its portfolio in the Middle East and Africa.
The decision aligns with Electrolux Group’s focus on sustainable innovation, digital transformation, and direct consumer engagement. The company aims to drive sustainable and profitable growth by allocating resources efficiently and executing its strategy at scale. Strategic portfolio management remains a key priority, enabling the Group to introduce relevant innovations in consumer experiences under its strategic brands.
