China: Duravit's Chongqing plant is undergoing significant expansion as part of an investment plan to double its output to 2 million pieces annually. Initiated in 2023 with upgrades to the body preparation department, the project has now enhanced internal logistics capacity by implementing a new system for managing and routing laser-guided vehicles (LGVs). This system seamlessly integrates with the latest section of the factory, creating two interconnected systems that optimize production processes through real-time data exchange.

The number of laser-guided vehicles at the plant has increased to 24, reinforcing its status as one of the world's most advanced facilities in automation and 4.0 production flow management. The integration of advanced supervision software with cutting-edge LGV technology ensures fully automated control of sanitaryware production, streamlining efficiency across all stages of the process.
