GERMANY: Germany’s online home improvement market recorded above-average growth in 2025, outperforming overall e-commerce trends. The DIY and flowers segment grew by 4.9% year on year, reaching sales of US$ 3.61billion (€3.04 billion), according to data from the German E-Commerce and Distance Selling Trade Association (BEVH). Overall German e-commerce sales to end consumers increased by 3.2% to US$ 98.7 billion (€83.1 billion), marking the first year of consistent quarterly growth since 2021. Several related categories also exceeded the market average, including pet supplies, household goods and appliances, and home textiles. Furniture, lighting and decorative items also posted modest gains. In contrast, car and motorcycle accessories was the only category to decline slightly. The results highlight continued consumer interest in home-focused products despite broader economic uncertainty.
