Daikin establishes software development joint venture for air conditioning systems in Thailand

Thailand: Daikin Industries and Toyota Tsusho NEXTY Electronics established a new joint venture company in Bangkok, named Daikin Toyota Tsusho Electronics Thailand Ltd. The company will focus on embedded software development for air conditioning systems manufactured in Thailand. The partnership was formed to improve development efficiency, shorten development timelines, and strengthen software capabilities as HVAC systems become more advanced and digitally integrated.

The joint venture starts with a capital investment of THB 40 million (US$1.2 million), with Daikin holding a majority stake. The development activities will initially support Daikin operations in Thailand and later expand to other ASEAN locations. The initiative reflects increasing software requirements in air conditioning products due to growth in control systems, connectivity functions, and data based applications.
