Daikin Chairman Noriyuki Inoue to Retire
Japan: Daikin Industries announces leadership changes following their upcoming general shareholder meeting in late June. Noriyuki Inoue, the long-serving chairman, will step down from both the chairman and board positions at the age of 89. Masanori Togawa, the current president and CEO, will succeed Inoue as chairman while retaining his CEO role. Naofumi Takenaka, currently a senior managing executive officer, will be promoted to president and COO.
