Daikin Applied Appoints Yu Nishiwaki as President and CEO; James Moe and Hirokazu Hirao Take COO Roles

Daikin Applied has appointed Yu Nishiwaki as President and Chief Executive Officer, James Moe as Chief Operating Officer, and Hirokazu Hirao as Chief Operating Officer of Manufacturing, effective July 1, 2026. The leadership changes are aimed at strengthening the company's operating model as it expands its capabilities to support customers and execute its strategic priorities for fiscal year 2026 and beyond.
Nishiwaki, who has served as Chief Operating Officer since 2023, will lead the company through its next phase of growth with a focus on operational excellence and manufacturing performance. His appointment aligns with Daikin Applied’s long-term growth strategy, including its Fusion30 global vision. With nearly 30 years of experience within the Daikin Group, Nishiwaki has held several leadership positions, including General Manager of Daikin Air Conditioning Italy and Vice President of Strategic Planning for Daikin Applied Americas, bringing extensive expertise in both global and regional operations.
