Copeland Boosts Cookstown Plant with £19M Investment for Low-Carbon Heat Pump Production
Ireland: Copeland has announced the nearing completion of a $24 million dollar investment to expand its Cookstown, Northern Ireland compressor manufacturing facility. This expansion, expected to be finished by September 2024, includes a 3,500 square meter building extension with new production lines. The investment aims to increase production capacity to meet the growing European demand for sustainable low-carbon heat pumps, which are vital for addressing climate change. Since its opening in 1997, the Cookstown plant has been pivotal in innovation, producing over five million compressors. This expansion reaffirms Copeland’s commitment to innovation and environmental sustainability, crucial for supporting the UK and EU’s decarbonization goals.
