China Invests in Construction of 1,400-Apartment Complex in Kabul
Nilabagh, a new residential project in Kabul, is being built with a $71 million investment from a Chinese corporation. The project, overseen by Afghanistan's Ministry of Urban Development and Land, is for the construction of 1,400 apartments across 56 blocks and is expected to be completed within three years.
High-ranking Afghan officials attended the inaugural event, including the acting Minister of Urban Development and Land, Hamdullah Nomani, and the deputy prime ministers for Economic Affairs and Administrative Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar and Abdul Salam Hanafi.
