BUTEC Group Rebrands and Expands in South Africa with Strategic Acquisitions

South Africa: BUTEC Group, a Lebanese-based contracting company, has rebranded the two South African companies it acquired from ENGIE in 2022, renaming Thermaire to BUTEC and Ampair to BUTEC Services. The DUCTSHOP brand remains unchanged, focusing on high-quality metal and PAL ducting manufacturing. This rebranding is part of BUTEC's strategy to expand its services across Africa, now operating in 21 countries and employing 7,500 people, including 400 in South Africa. BUTEC Chairperson Ziad Younes highlighted that the acquisitions provide a base for HVAC, facility management, engineering, electro-mechanical solutions, and utility services in South Africa.
