Bosch's New Heat Pumps Will Use Honeywell's Energy-Efficient Solstice low-GWP Refrigerant
Updated: Apr 24
USA: The latest range of heat pumps from Bosch will use the energy-efficient Solstice low-global warming potential (GWP) refrigerant from Honeywell. Bosch personnel will receive training in the safe upkeep and installation of these cutting-edge low-GWP products as part of this partnership.
Solstice 454B, which is intended to cut greenhouse gas emissions in residential and light commercial heating and air conditioning by 78% when compared to conventional refrigerants, will be used in Bosch's Florida Heat Pump series.
Bosch's heat pumps will be able to move heat using a combination of electricity and refrigerants thanks to the integration of Honeywell Solstice, offering an energy-efficient substitute for conventional furnaces and air conditioners.
According to Jeff Domo, president of Honeywell Advanced Materials, the company is still at the forefront of developing next-generation refrigerants for the market that help its partners across the world achieve their carbon footprint goals.
