SAUDI ARABIA: Bosch Group, a leading global provider of technology and services, has completed the acquisition of the residential and light commercial HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) business from Johnson Controls, including its stake in the Johnson Controls-Hitachi joint venture. This strategic move strengthens Bosch’s energy and building technology portfolio.

Described as the largest acquisition in Bosch’s history, the deal nearly doubles the size of its Home Comfort division, now employing over 25,000 associates worldwide and generating more than €8 billion in sales.

The acquisition significantly enhances Bosch’s presence, particularly in America and Asia, positioning the company as one of the largest global suppliers of HVAC solutions for residential and small commercial buildings. First announced a year ago, the transaction closed as scheduled on July 31.

According to Bosch, this acquisition is a key milestone in its “Corporate Strategy 2030”, which aims to accelerate growth, expand the global footprint, and rebalance its business portfolio. The move also strengthens the German engineering and technology group’s position in the global HVAC market, at a time of rising demand for energy-efficient building solutions.
