Bosch CEO Dr. Stefan Hartung to Step Down; Dr. Christian Fischer Named Successor

GERMANY: Dr. Stefan Hartung will step down as chairman of the board of management of Bosch, effective June 30, 2026, at his own request and in mutual agreement with the company's shareholders. He will also resign from the boards of Robert Bosch Industrietreuhand KG. Effective July 1, 2026, Dr. Christian Fischer will succeed him as chairman, while Dr. Markus Forschner and Dr. Markus Heyn will assume the roles of vice chairmen of the board of management.

During his tenure as CEO, Hartung played a key role in advancing Bosch's growth and innovation strategy, steering the company through a challenging business environment while strengthening its long-term competitiveness. Going forward, he intends to focus on new entrepreneurial ventures and social initiatives outside the Bosch Group. 

Commenting on the leadership transition, Prof. Stefan Asenkerschbaumer, managing partner of Robert Bosch Industrietreuhand KG and chairman of the supervisory board of Robert Bosch GmbH, thanked Hartung for his outstanding leadership and significant contributions to the company during a particularly demanding period.
