Blue Star Reports Strong Quarterly Profit Growth on Robust Air Conditioner Demand

INDIA: Indian air conditioning manufacturer Blue Star reported a 25% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to ₹1.24 billion (~US$13 million) in Q2 FY2027, supported by extended summer conditions and stronger room AC demand. Revenue from operations rose 21% to ₹29.31 billion (~US$308 million). The unitary products business recorded 29.4% growth, while the electro-mechanical projects and commercial air conditioning segment increased sales by 16.3%. However, rising material costs and higher expenses continued to pressure margins. The company expects growth momentum to continue in the second half, supported by data centre projects and calibrated price increases.
