Blue Star Anticipates 25-30% AC Sales Growth This Summer
India: Blue Star expects air conditioner sales to rise by 25-30% in the upcoming summer season, despite last year’s high growth base of 57%. "This quarter (January-March 2025 - Q4FY25), the industry, as well as Blue Star, should grow more than 30%," said Managing Director B Thiagarajan, noting that sales channels have stocked up in advance.
To manage rising raw material costs, the company implemented a 3-4% price hike in February while aiming to balance market share and margins. Blue Star targets segment margins of 8-8.5% and plans to increase its market share from 13.75% to 14.25% in FY26. However, the company acknowledges growing competition due to increased manufacturing capacity and aggressive market strategies in the sector.
